Brompton at Mont Ventoux

Back in June 2023, we organized a weekend at Mont Ventoux in France to showcase the capabilities of our folding bikes on climbs. Mont Ventoux, a legendary mountain climb, has been a staple of the Tour de France for many years.

The rides were organised to demonstrate that Brompton folding bikes are not only compact and portable, but also capable of handling challenging terrain.

On the Saturday, a small team of 3 riders started the climb from the Pista Café in Bédoin and reached the summit in just over 2 hours. Relive their climb in the video.

And on the following day, we invited the French Brompton community to join us to attempt the climb again. 9 brave Brompton owners showed up with their bikes to try and conquer the “giant of Provence”. The ride was a success, with all participants completing the climb!

That weekend proves that Brompton bikes are not just for commuting or city riding, but also a serious option for cyclists looking for a versatile and capable bike.
