We are happy to share with you the finalists and winners of the #MyUnseenCity film competition.
Our star studded panel of judges; Guy Ritchie, Josh Berger, Lionel Wigram and Will Butler-Adams at the beginning of May met to select their top 3 entries for the #MyUnseenCity film competition. Guy Ritchie, film director and Brompton owner, hosted a private screening of the 10 shortlisted films at his London home to take on the difficult decision of choosing a winner along with his fellow judges.
We had entrants from 38 countries worldwide leading to over 1,000 posts and over 300 official entries. The video below showcases the best from each country!
The top three videos were extremely diverse and creative, but we are proud to announce the following:
3rd place was awarded to Serge Volwood (@volwood) for his inventive interpretation of the brief. Customising his own bike into a Brompton added a sense of humour to his film that appealed to all the judges.
2nd place was awarded to @Pescadorus; who tours the streets of Amsterdam putting his Black Edition Brompton through its paces, the judges commented on how the use of speed and pace created a high energy film that really showcased the joy of riding a Brompton in the city.
But there could only be one winner, a unanimous decision between all the judges. Oleg (@ctrl2k) from Russia came out on top with his brilliantly edited film using colour to emphasise the diverse backdrop of Moscow. The judges commented, “It was innovative, with real style. It had elegance about it that was above the rest.”
The two runners up, will each win a Black Edition Bike and Oleg will get the same bike and be treated to a trip to London and the opportunity to participate in the Brompton World Championship Final London in July 2016.
The winning film will also be shown worldwide in Brompton’s 11 flagship Junction stores and via Brompton.com/blackedition.
