Operation Toblerone

After this summer's Eurobike trade show, an intrepid team of 7 Brompton designers and marketeers took to the hills for a three day adventure through Switzerland - by Brompton, of course.

6 speeds with lowered gearing was the setup of choice, and having come straight from the show, most of the team maximised on luggage using the front carrier system as well as rear rack.

Heading off from Interlaken, the first day saw the steepest climbs (and the only puncture of the trip) and finished in Lucerne, where the accommodation was a refurbished former prison.

After a hearty Swiss breakfast, the second day initially offered some respite with a largely flat ride for more than 15 miles, before some impressive climbing (accompanied for the last few miles by driving rain) up into Einsiedeln:

All that climbing paid off on the last day, when the team enjoyed an epic downhill into Zurich and around the lake:

It had been three days of small wheels, big scenery and Swiss cheese. Next year? Bring on Austria!
