This years Brompton World Championship Lisbon was one of the mostly hotly competed yet, with many riders coming close to claiming the title and qualifying for the BWC Final in London.
The temperature was a sweltering 28 degrees, but the dress code was still adhered to with a sea of 50 smartly dressed riders at the start line. The race was fiercely fought, but Antonio Duarte claimed the men's title (22:41mins) and Angela Silva claiming the women's crown (25:34mins). Both will now represent Portugal at the BWC Final next year.
In the Veterans category Eliseu Almeida (24:44mins) and Maria do Rosario Gordalina (27:00) claimed the male and female titles. Whilst the Pastel de Belem team won the team competition with an accumulated time of 72:59mins.
There were some fantastic outfits on display this year, with the best dressed awards going to Daniel Warner and Angela. The fastest fold competition which is fast becoming a BWC favourite was won by Sandro Araujo's, with a folding time of 8.8 seconds.
